Birthday treats...

So my Birthday has gone and passed and turning 30 wasn't all that bad really!! I was well and truly spoiled, which was lovely and I even got lots of Dolly stuff!!! YAY! So I just figured I would share a few things...

One rather lovely surprise was a drawing of Avelyn by RanSurround from Pullip Fiction

As you can see She is an awesome artist, I simply adore this picture. She has captured her so well. RanSurround also has a blog (Wormies and Octopi)that I follow which is really cute and funny... I would highly recommend following it!!!

You've already seen my little Wroenna from my Ma, Pa, Brother and Mrs C...

Mrs C also got me something rather amazing that I have been drooling over for quite some time...

I have been told She chose this one in particular because it seemed quite french and she lives in Brittany!

It really is beautiful, I now have the task of making duvets, cushion and mattress covers which I am very much looking forward to... what you see pictured is actually my pajama bottoms, a top of mine and some pink fleece! Its amazing what you can make do with!!!

My Ma also bought me a bag for the girls (Effery and Avelyn are fighting over it as we speak) but unfortunately it got lost... Luckily Mr T has found it now and it will feature in some photos soon!!!!

I was very lucky to get lots of other presents including an extra awesome felt hat from Mr T made by a friend of a friend! I had one crazy party on Saturday night and a fantastic day with Mr T on Sunday... including Japanese take away and Icecream takeaway! I love living in a city!!!

Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I'm writing this early as I'm not sure I'll have time on the actual day!!

Happy Birthday to Me,
Happy Birthday to Me,
Happy Birthday dear Meeeeeeeee...
Happy Birthday to ME!
!! hee hee!

On Sunday 29th January it will be my 30th Birthday! Yes 30, I can't quite believe it myself! I can't say I'm happy to be leaving my 20's but hey, what can you do. I always said as a teenager I wanted to be Peter Pan, I wanted to remain a child for as long as possible, I guess I'm still doing that now, hence the dolls!! ;) Maybe that's why my first Pullip was Peter Pan!?

Anyway, I bugged Mr T loads last year insisting I needed a party, but that I didn't want to organise. I still don't know what is going on but Mr T certainly has something up his sleeve, but I'm not quite sure what yet!!!!

The olds just came to stay and my big Bro arrived yesterday afternoon for fun and frivolity! The boys had a very late night/early morning so no-one is up so I still have no idea what is going on... I'm sure I will find out soon enough!!!

So while my Ma & Pa were here I don't think Ma could have left without giving me my present early! It was not just from Ma & Pa, oh no, it was also from Mr T's Ma (Mrs C) and my Brother! My Ma asked me a while ago what I would like and I obviously said a Pullip, drew up my wishlist and sent it over. Apparently there was some to-ing and fro-ing between Ma & Mrs C discussing dolls before they actually decided on one that was not on my wishlist! If it was up to my Ma, she would have got me a Taeyang before I pointed out they are boys! She totally thought they were girls!! Ha ha!!

So a mahoosive thank you to my Ma, Pa,
Brother and Mrs C!!! I adore her,
you made the right choice!!!!

Thank You!!

Anyway, so with Ma's help we named her... so without any further ado, I introduce...

Wroenna Ash

I just adore her stock too, there's so much of it, she even comes with a padded bra!!! hee hee!!! The other girls have stolen most of it! I'll take some more pictures soon!!

Thanks for looking!!

I've been naughty... :S

I finally got a payment through for an insurance claim I made over a year ago for injuries from a car accident. I told myself I could buy Avelyn a wig and an obitsu and wanted to leave it at that. I actually also need to get Myste an obitsu, which I keep putting off as Peter Pan is a hard Pullip to colour match, but I've seen her on a natural obitsu on Flickr. She hardly gets a look-in lately as the obitsu-ed girls are a pleasure to pose and dress, whereas, Myste has awkward colouring, especially with the blue hair and is a struggle to pose. Anyway, I really should be spoiling the girls I have but for some reason, over the past few months I've had a real urge to buy a Dal.

I said from the start I would never get one, but however different the girls look I long for one who looks different, but like they belong.

I did a load of research on the Dal's I actually like, there's a handful at most, but I did my research anyway. I ended up with the following list:

Cinnamoroll

DeLorean (In my opinion, possibly one of the cutest Dals EVER)

Dotori
Hanaayame

Lizbel
Madoka Kaname
Maretti
Puki
After trauling through flickr images and compiling my list I stupidly decided on Lizbel, not checking prices or availability. I went on to Pullip Style and checked the price... I didn't want to spend that much I thought. I checked the other dolls and found Monomono for $69.95. I checked flickr again and thought, yes... I can afford her...

I left it a couple of days (after checking what anyone had to say on Pullip Fiction of course!!!! I mean, you wouldn't purchase a doll before checking with your mates first right? lol) and finally bit the bullet and ordered her.
From MangaParis.com
From Asia Pads
Good thing is, she has a fake fur wig, which will be so much more pleasurable to play with than the general Pullip stock wigs. Her stock is slightly strange but I'll probably sell it and get to work on making her a wardrobe of her own, I don't know if any of the clothes I have will fit her, so we'll see!!

So... my little family is rapidly growing (eek) and soon to have a Dal in it! I am excited, but feel bad for poor little Myste, maybe a new body will come on my birthday?! Hmmmm...

Thanks for looking!!!

Dark hair... Dark Eyes...

Hallooooo!!!!

I realise that I have not updated you on my blushed Mir situation!? You probably don't care but I have to write stuff on here as blogs usually comprise as text and pictures, so I'm gonna write it anyway....

I ordered her an obitsu and wig and waited, and waited and finally they arrived, within a day of eachother too, the timing could not have been more perfect!!! Unfortunately for my little Mir, the wig really didn't suit her. I had a feeling this may happen and had tested out each of the girls wigs on her prior to the wig arriving and Effery's looked great, so I kinda had the new wig in mind for either of the girls. I'm just glad it suited at least one of them!!!

So, with the new obitsu, the new wigs, the girls were set! I have been waiting for good weather as my light has broken. This house is so dark, then when the good weather comes, its the blooming weekend and we already had plans. Typical, anyway, I hoped the good weather may continue but woke up this morning to greysville.... :(

Anyway, after lunch the sky cleared leaving me an afternoon and I rushed upstairs to the bedroom (the only room that's gets loads of light) and rushed through a shoot before the light faded!

So, anyways, here are some of the results:

Avelyn

 Effery

I am so pleased with how Mir has turned out, she looks perfect in the pictures but she is a tiny bit too dark!! Ironic!! I never thought I would have a dark haired, dark eyed girl, especially not a Mir, but I love her now. I think she's going to be the girly fashion conscience girl, but I'm not sure, I'll have to write her a bio!!!

Also, I adore the new wig on Effery, she is so perfect now, I loved her before but I love her even more now!!! When it arrived and I put the new wig on and dressed her accordingly I was carrying her around the house with me so I could look at her as much as possible, just like when I first got her, she really is a gorgeous girl!!!

Dedicated to my Ma...

As the first post of the year,

I would like to dedicate this to
my lovely Mum...

Who despite everything my family and I have gone through EVER, is always there for me, even when I want to talk about Pullips! She has been there for all my traumas and helped me out the otherside. She NEVER thinks of herself before others and everybody loves her!? I couldn't ask for a more supportive Mum (or Dad) to be honest. They are awesome!!!

Also because they got me some awesome dolly related presents for Christmas, which is massively generous as she and my Pa, also helped Mr T (and Mr T's Ma) buy me a bike!!!

Anyway, to my Ma... Love you loads...
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So, yeah, that's the mushy stuff done with...I realise I haven't posted in what seems like AGES! I've been meaning to take a load of pictures since loads of stuff has happened since christmas, dolly-wise anyway. So... the first of a few blog posts over the next few weeks!!!

So... as this is dedicated to my Ma, I did a shoot showing the perfect dolly goodies I got from my olds for Christmas... not just one but two of those awesome chairs and some shoes I'd been drooling over from the Foxi Shop...

I've also included some general spam of my little darling Larke (I love her so much more after this shoot, she's just so darn cute).

Also featured in this shoot is a bracelet my little online friend Naomi (aka minipinkpullip101 on Pullip Fiction) sent me! Thank you!!! My girls adore the bracelets you made, they will be featuring regularly in my shoots!!! :D

I'm well impressed with this little outfit. I originally made it for the shop but the colours are just too good for Larke... sorry!! Although, I think I have enough of that fabric left to make another if anyone is interested!!!

This shoot totally re-ignited my love for Larke as I've not been so in love with her lately. Her wig has been bothering me, although it is nice, its not what I originally wanted for her. I had a hunt for pictures of wigs I liked and finally ordered a Sleeping Elf wig.

Picture by *Mrs Mawi* on Flickr

That is the kind of wig I wanted for her originally... I chose my colours and sent my order in and now I'm just waiting patiently (or trying to!!) for it to be made and posted!!

However, after this shoot I'm wondering if I did the right thing... :S

Tell me what you think...

You've been GIMPED!!!

I used to have photoshop but since my computer has been running so slowly I decided to change to Linux. So not being able to use photoshop I decided to download GIMP. I had a play and was astounded that you can do nearly exactly what you can do in photoshop and GIMP is free!!!! For nothing you have nearly all the same tools and many many filters. It's an awesome program and I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to do photo editing!

I had a play with some of the pictures I took over christmas and wasn't so pleased with. I usually like to edit my pictures and adjust the brightness/contrast etc, but it was alot of fun to play around with filters etc.

So, here is the result;

What do you think?

2012 Goals!

I have a few goals for the new year so I thought I would share them... I don't make resolutions, I make goals, somehow they don't seem so hard going as resolutions but I guess they're the same thing really!!!

1. Get Fit!
I got a new bike so I'm hoping this will help, I'm planning to cut down on my sugar intake and eat more healthily to lose a few pounds!

2. Make more, sell more...
I have a few ideas for the shop, I'm hoping to get a regular system going where I can put more items on the shop regularly and make a few smaller items. I've already reduced the shipping and I'm really hoping 2012 will be great for getting more sales!

3. Get Social!!!
We had a few mates around this week for a game night where we played Archeology and Chrononaughts (an AMAZING game). We're hoping we can make it a weekly, or bi-weekly thing which would be amazing! I'm also hoping to get out more and see friends regularly while we're still close by! We have an awesome group of friends here in Cardiff and it would be nice to get a bit of a social routine going on instead of sitting in and stewing!

4. Play more music...
I have always played music in some form, if it's singing, playing the piano or the guitar or any of the other instruments we have sitting around the house. I would love to get back into the routine of playing again.

5. Get my Clarinet fixed!
Mr T got me a clarinet for my birthday quite a few years ago and for the past 2 years it's been sitting around as the corking has started to go and I don't want to make it any worse. I now have the name of 2 people in Cardiff who can fix it so I'm gonna crack on and get it sorted! This will also help No.5!

6. Join a Choir
I have been meaning to do this for ages, I have been in several choirs over the years and I really miss it, so I would love to join one here, there were several in Bournemouth so there must be a fair few here in Cardiff!

7. Go Ice Skating Regularly
I adore ice skating and now we have one near us (and accessible via a cycle network... no roads!!! EEP!) I want to make the most of it, plus it will help me with goal no.1!

8. Get a job...
This should probably be further up the list but meh, I need the money and loathe being on job seekers allowance! Not that its that bad its just I don't like to be classed as a scrounger... but I'm not... so there... :P

9. Start a Cache Course in Childcare
I have to apply and research student loans but hopefully I will start in September!!! Its going to be scary going back into education but I'm looking forward to it!

10. Make more clothes... for ME!
My Pullips have more clothes than me and that has to be rectified!!! I made a few reconstructed clothes in 2011 and I'm hoping to extend that in 2012. I have loads of fabric and old clothes all ready so hopefully that will happen!

11. Get more Girly!
Now I have girly mates nearby I'm hoping to have a few girly nights this year. I've always been a bit of a tomboy so girly nights have been at a minimum.

12. Take more pictures...
Since I got my camera nearly all of the pictures I've taken have been of the girls so I'm definately going to try and take some of general every day life!

13. Customise a doll...
Since I started collecting Pullips I have wanted to do some customisation. Since I adore all the face-ups of my dolls I think I may start by customising a Monster High Doll and see how I go from there!

14. Complete my dolls...Myste has been in desparate need of a new body and I plan on getting her a 25cm natural obitsu since that colour matches her skintone better. I also want to get a new wig for Larke and a new body for Mir. I also need to get some spot cream on Larke & Effery's bodies as they are a bit scuffed!

15. Watch less, do more...
I have got into the habit of watching stuff and not doing as much so 2012 is going to be my most productive year yet! Unfortunately though we have just got ourselves a TV & VCR, I love how cheap videos are, but hopefully that won't mean I'm distracted by it too much... only time will tell!

16. Blog regularly
I'm not so good at doing that so I'm gonna try and get a bit of a routine going.

17. Brew more...
I managed to do a couple of batches this year but it seems so have disappeared since we moved. I'm hoping to get a couple of liqueurs on for my birthday but time is running out! Also, its great to have as a back-up for birthdays etc!

18. Make Chutney
I have been meaning to do this for AGES, so this year, it will happen! I love chutney and making my own would make my day!

19. Be Tidy!
I can be quite messy so I am really going to make an effort to be a bit tidier!
20. Spend more Quality time with Mr T
Last but by no means least! I think I have neglected Mr T a bit this year. I love him to bits, he is the most amazing guy I have ever been with and he is the only guy I want to be with. My goal is to spend more quality time and to treat him as much as he treats me!

Have you made any resolutions?

Thanks for reading!

Miss M x

p.s.Sorry this is a pictureless post, I'll make up for that next time! ;)
